We would like to start with pointing out that when you choose to stay at a hotel, you usually go there for the amenities that are included in the price. You’re not paying only for the location and the comfort, but also for the service. We’re referring to the 24/7 check-in, the toiletries, housekeeping, and so on.
At the same time, all the amenities are at hand or, at the very least, they are easily accessible. On top of that, most hotels are situated in central locations – this might also be the case for Airbnb, but not necessarily.
Plus, hotels are situated in the proximity of bars, restaurant, conference rooms, so on and so forth. Therefore, they might be better suited for you if you’re traveling to Zurich for business meetings. In regards to accessibility, hotels might be better than Airbnb. Why Choose Airbnb?
On the other hand, Airbnb comes with other advantages. It gives you the opportunity of experiencing Zurich from the perspective of a local. This is especially convenient if you’re traveling with a group of friends, as you can divide the costs and, in this way, save money.
At the same time, when you choose Airbnb, you will have a larger space at your disposal, usually a kitchen, perhaps a terrace, so on and so forth, depending on the place you choose. Of course, the location may also vary, in the sense that you can rent a place either in the center of the city or in the outskirts, as you wish.
The downside, however, is that you don’t benefit from the convenience linked with hotels
So, which one’s going to be? A hotel or Airbnb? You alone can make the decision, depending on your budget and your traveling preferences.
