A Modern Miami Apartment with Traditional and Colourful Twist


You will call this brimming with personality apartment bold and bright but this apartment is anything but minimal. This apartment is a combination of both modern and traditional interior designing.


The sofa in this house is 16 feet long and spans the entire wall. It accommodates both the living area as well as the dining area. The door is lacquered with car paint to add a watery gleam.

The glass table with brass chair from India and Louis XVI style chairs which are upholstered in African fabric create a fine dining area. The pillows are covered in vintage scarves.

Bright accent colours have been used which pop against the blue and white palette. Instead of a big coffee table four cylinders have been used which are moveable. Custom made Moroccan carpet has been used.


All over the apartment colourful artwork has been used for decoration. Swirls of vibrant colour has been used in this painting by Henrique Oliveira which has energized the wall.


The dishes have been stored on an open shelf of a marble top prep table. They are easily accessible.


A mini office has been made in the entry which comprises of a white table and a chair. A scone has also been used for decoration.

Colours have been mixed to concoct a seething blue colour for the master bedroom. A simple Ikea bed is dressed with linens and a quilt. The mirror, lamp and side table are vintage.
